Announcing Seller Disclosure Protection from CRES

Your commission check is cashed, your seller is happy and you’ve moved on to bigger and better things.  Four weeks later the buyer discovers $20,000 worth of mold damage in the basement. All of the sudden you have a potential lawsuit on your hands.

According to major carriers, “failure to disclose” is now the #1 source of professional liability for real estate agents.  Over half of all real estate agent E&O claims are driven by this cause of action, and the incidence rate has been steadily climbing for more than a decade.  Stubborn problems like plumbing leaks, wood rot and water intrusion are often at fault.

At Glide, our top priority is protecting you and your clients from this type of risk.  We do that by helping sellers fully disclose and providing agents with hard evidence showing that the standard of care has been met.

Today we’re pleased to announce a third type of protection.  Glide has partnered with CRES to offer an exclusive disclosure insurance policy that also includes direct access to an experienced real estate defense attorney, a permit history report and a host of other benefits not available anywhere else.  The plan, called Seller’s Protection Plan Plus+, gives sellers $25,000 of insurance protection for six months with a $2,500 deductible and nothing due until closing.

This policy is presented to sellers within the Glide experience after disclosure forms are completed.  Sellers can accept or decline. If they accept, you will be immediately notified and all parties will receive instructions in how to access attorney services and review plan details.
