Spotted: Glide's New Logo!

Normally we use this space to talk about our amazing clients - real estate professionals, home buyers, and home sellers.  But today, we’re going to talk a little about ourselves because today Glide is rolling out a new logo and we’re pretty excited about it!  

To commemorate this occasion, I sat down with Glide CEO, Sebastian Tonkin to talk a little about the new logo and where Glide is headed (you’ve seen the new logo; we’re headed up!).  

What’s the reason for the new logo?

Since its launch, Glide has seen tremendous growth and is proud to work with a broad range of associations, brokerages, and real estate professionals.  The logo that launched Glide will always hold a special place in the brand’s history but doesn’t fully communicate the future direction of where Glide is headed.  

Can you please tell me about the new logo and how it ties to Glide’s brand story?

The new logo does a better job of relating Glide to our customers, real estate professionals, while still being reflective of Glide’s namesake - high soaring, and always rising.  Glide’s new logo underpins the brand values of simplicity, efficiency, and continuous improvement. It’s meant to invoke both momentum and security. 

If you look closely, you’ll note that the logo invokes both a house, in honor of the real estate industry, and a glider.  The name Glide was chosen to reflect our mission of making the real estate transaction process smoother - taking a fragmented manual process and transforming it into a seamless experience.  

Does this change in logo reflect a change in product or strategy for Glide?

Glide remains committed to its stated mission - making residential real estate transactions easier, more efficient, and more transparent for everyone involved in the process.  Glide’s new logo reflects the continuous improvement Glide has brought to the disclosures process. Outside of some aesthetic updates, the functionality that users love about using Glide - an easy guided experience for home sellers, a mobile friendly AVID for agents, and robust back-end process management tools will still be available.

We’re very excited to participate in a number of events over the coming months - California Association of Realtors’s REimagine conference this week in LA, and looking forward to participating with two of our associations in October - the San Francisco Association of Realtors EXPO and The Inland Gateway Association of Realtors ELEVATE event.
