Spotted: See Yourself at Glide!

Spotted: See Yourself at Glide!

The team at Glide is always busy working on new ways to delight real estate professionals and their clients - and part of that is spreading the word on Glide and its benefits to agents, TCs, and brokerages.  We sat down with Glide’s Director of Sales and Customer Success, Michael Lau to talk about what’s next for the sales and customer success teams.

What is your role at Glide?

I have the good fortune of being solely focused on Glide’s customers.  I get to work, everyday, with agents, brokers, and TCs on ways that Glide can help improve the efficiency of their business and reduce the legal risks associated with real estate transactions.

I also manage Glide’s team of sales and customer success professionals to make sure that all Glide users have what they need to be as successful as possible.

What does your team do?

My team handles a variety of touchpoints with customers.  Whether it’s a brokerage wondering about how to streamline their disclosures process that needs an online demo of Glide’s brokerage edition or a TC who just signed up and needs some help understanding the full capabilities of Glide for their business, my team steps in to help.

We work to make sure that potential Glide users - specifically for Glide’s brokerage edition - have all the information they need to make a decision about how Glide could best benefit their business.  Then, we work with both individuals and brokerages to make sure they get onboarded and set up.

We also work closely with our colleagues in the support organization to bring feedback from our customers and potential customers to the product and engineering teams, making sure that Glide is always improving.

What is most exciting about what you and your team do?

I’m a simple guy - I love helping people. At Glide, that means making sure that brokerages understand all the benefits of Glide and all the risks associated with the disclosures process.

What do you see as the future of sales & customer success at Glide?

Our team is growing!  As we expand what we are doing - both in capabilities (have you checked out Safe AVID?) and in geography, we’ve got more opportunities than ever to work with real estate professionals. That means we’re growing the team to broaden the number of real estate professionals we can talk to in any given week.

What do you think makes someone successful in the sales/customer organization at Glide?

Our most successful team members share a couple of traits - an expertise (or at least interest) in the real estate space, a positive attitude, an aptitude and desire to work with people, and killer communication skills - both listening and speaking.

If someone is interested in speaking about a role in Glide’s customer team, what would they do?

We would love to talk to current realtors who are interested in transitioning to a real estate technology role!  A great rule of thumb when building a sales organization is that users make great members of a customer team. They bring a unique perspective on the market and are able to really identify with potential new users.
